The trades and labor community is built on strength, pride, and deep-rooted solidarity. Whether on construction sites, factory floors, or behind the wheel, these workers keep society running, often at great physical and emotional cost. Yet their health, recovery, and mental wellness needs are frequently under-recognized.
This training acknowledges the realities of life in the trades: the toll of chronic pain, demanding schedules, economic instability, and the cultural stigma surrounding vulnerability. These factors can increase the risk of substance use, overdose, and burnout, especially in environments where asking for help is often seen as weakness.
This track is grounded in respect for labor culture. It offers recovery coaches and peer support workers practical tools and cultural insight to support tradespeople with authenticity and care. Participants will learn to meet tradespeople where they are, using trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches to build trust, support resilience, and promote sustainable recovery in one of the country’s most essential workforces.
