The Reentry Track is specifically designed to support Black, Hispanic, and other communities of color as they navigate the unique challenges of reentry after incarceration. This track empowers coaches to address the systemic inequities, social stigmas, and personal challenges that disproportionately affect returning citizens from marginalized communities. Participants will be equipped with the culturally responsive tools and techniques necessary to guide individuals through reentry, helping them reclaim their lives, achieve sustainable recovery, and build a sense of purpose.
Communities of color, particularly Black and Hispanic individuals, are disproportionately affected by the criminal justice system and incarceration. The transition from prison to community is especially difficult for returning citizens from these populations, as they often face additional barriers related to racial inequity, economic marginalization, and discrimination. Without appropriate support, many individuals are at an increased risk of relapse, overdose, and re-incarceration. Our Reentry and Returning Citizens Track addresses these issues head-on, empowering coaches to help returning citizens build new lives, with a focus on mindset, visioning, and self-empowerment.
